Exploration of recent research on cognitive development of children, impairments of brain-damaged patients, cognitive abilities of apes and other non-humans, cross-cultural and gender differences in human cognition, mating strategies, the origins of beauty and the evolution of modern humans and the spread of cultural artifacts.
