Julian Burbano

Evolutionary Anthropology Ambassador

Class of 2024
Major in Evolutionary Anthropology; Minors in Music and Chemistry

My name is Julian and I am a Senior on the Pre-Medical Track at Duke! I'm from Northern Virginia, and I'm the son of two Ecuadorian immigrants. My free time is spent doing research in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, leading my advocacy-focused organization on campus, and playing classical guitar. I will be applying to medical school this year, hoping to matriculate in 2025!

Favorite class: Anatomy of the Lower Extremities. This course gave me access to professors, students, and facilities from the medical school, and gave me a leg up on learning anatomy from real human cadavers that will be immensely useful once in medical school!
