Class of 2027
Major in Evolutionary Anthropology (Human Biology), Minor in Chemistry

I'm from Fremont, California majoring in Evolutionary Anthropology with a minor in Chemistry. A couple of things I’m involved with on campus include serving as Co-President of the Student Collaborative on Health Policy and conducting research in the Chen Lab studying stem cell recovery post radiation. Last summer, I interned at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Nanobiotechnology, where I worked on a drug delivery research project. I also take part in community programs that focus on preventive health and addressing unsafe living conditions that contribute to chronic disease. In my free time, I enjoy playing badminton, mountain biking, and perfume making!

Favorite Class: My favorite class at Duke was Drugs, Chemicals, and Health with Dr. Hepler-Smith. I loved seeing how substances we take for granted today (like aspirin or caffeine) once completely changed the way people thought about medicine, health, and even daily life. The class made me realize that every drug carries a story, not just of science, but of culture and society too. It pushed me to think about medicine in a much broader way than before.
