Friends of Bonobos is the U.S. charity that supports Lola ya Bonobo Sanctuary in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Lola is not only the world's only bonobo sanctuary and site of the first bonobo release in Congo but also where the Hominoid Psychology Research Group conducts its tests of bonobo cognition.
We support Friends of Bonobos' mission by increasing bonobo awareness at community events and in classrooms, as well as by organizing fundraisers.
